MARCO FERRANTI:
Musicalmente, nasce nel lontano 1973, appassionandosi subito al canto, mentre si narra sia stato dato alla luce, ben prima il 1973.
Nei medi anni 70 si lascia travolgere da ciò che ai tempi venivano volgarmente e giustificatamene chiamate pianole, ma solo nei primissimi anni 80 ( forse l’82 ) si appassiona al fracasso coordinato della batteria idolatrando drummers di fama mondiale come Carl Palmer ( Emerson Lake & Palmer ) e Jeff Porcaro ( Toto – tristemente scomparso nel 1992 ).
Senza mai tralasciare la passione per il canto e per ciò che venne finalmente definito col nome di tastiera, prosegue la sua autodidattica carriera batteristica militando in svariate e senza gloria formazioni del milanese, avvicinandosi ai generi più variegati, passando dal hard rock, al blues, al prog-rock, annoverando così, tra i suoi miti, ulteriori drummers “innarivabili” come Neil Peart ( Rush ), Simon Phillips ( attuale Toto’s drummer ) a Dave Weckl ( ALIENO!!!!! ).
Dalla metà degli anni 90 fino al primo anno del secondo millennio, dedica, però, la sua attività musicale principalmente al canto ed al tastierismo e per citare alcuni riferimenti di entrambi i settori è possibile fare i nomi di Jon Anderson ( Yes lead vocalist ) e Tony Banks ( Genesis keyboard player ).
Nel tardo 2001, comincia l’avventura Merqury e da qui la ricerca delle sfumature batteristiche e vocali del mitico Roger Taylor, da lui così definito: “batterista prendibile, ma dallo stile e dal gusto unici ed inconfondibili!!!”.
Essendo riuscito ad unire passione e professione e grazie all’avvento del divino e-mule, il suo bagaglio di cultura musicale è divenuto estremamente ampio, permettendogli così di esplorare anche quei generi e quegli artisti meno conosciuti ( o totalmente ignorati ) coltivando sempre e comunque le sue radici che affondano nel hard rock e nel prog-rock degli anni 70/80 e che si diramano nel rock e nel pop dei lontani e compianti anni 80.
